8-10pm City Hall Live! (Reality, Live Action, 2 hours)
Tensions continue to flare as the 1-2-3 Hail TV production team films Pleasant Valley’s City Council meetings to save its budget. The filming crew introduces a mobile unit to get “man on the street interviews outside Council chambers, and long-time Council rivals Gene Smitty and Steve Shortz unite to protest by conducting business with their microphones turned off for nearly half the meeting before hard-of-hearing activist Bill Patterson accuses them of violating the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The Council approves $50,000 in playground improvements to Pleasant Valley’s Southside Park, upholds the Planning Commission’s granting of a Conditional Use Permit for a mini-golf course near the railroad right-of-way, and postpones acting on a staff recommendation to approve opening the City’s Main Library for Thanksgiving weekend.

Minus the band and commentary track, you kind of can now:
    http://oaklandnet.com/government/streaming-video/city-council-new.cfm
    Schedule: http://oaklandnet.com/government/council/Onepageannoun.html

    http://www.ci.pinole.ca.us/tv/watch.html … and etc.

Of course, you don’t get the scoop on what’s happening in the staff bullpen, or whose aides are having it out in the back of the chambers, but these can be truly entertaining.
